After the birth of her daughter, Lau took a hiatus from work to be a “stay-at-home” mom. As her daughter grew up, she naturally found inspiration being around other moms and children. For Lau, this new realm of photography is about working from the heart as well as behind the lens.
With a friendly personality that makes everyone feel comfortable and at ease, Lau builds relationships with her clients. It is common for Lau to start as a couple’s wedding photographer and continue on as their official family photographer.
Rather than using a studio, Lau makes it convenient for busy parents by coming to their home to capture those special moments. Documenting little ones growing up is all the more nostalgic when taken in their own backyard or other familiar settings. Of course, Lau is able to work with families anywhere, especially if there is a favorite beach or park a client enjoys. Lanikai and Kahala Beach are popular locations.
